ack...very frustrated with my ability to teach class today. there's some confusion about the explaining a concept paper. i don't think i did a great job of clarifying. ugh. also, we didn't start class with a timed writing practice, which i have tried to do every class. i felt we needed to get to work...hm, why do i think that discussing essays is getting to work while free writing is play??? isn't it all work, all play combined? don't have much else to say. i meet with some other folks at 12 today to discuss Leslie Marmon Silko's first novel, Ceremony. we're trying to form a reading group to discuss multicultural literature. wonder how this first meeting will go.
